All application materials must be submitted via email to the following email address:

The application deadline for 2012 has passed. Check back in November for the 2013 application.

Application Requirements:

  1. Send a single email with the subject "BioChIP Application: [YOUR NAME]" with the following three attachments:
    • Fill in this document and attach it to your email: BioChIP_Application.doc.
      Rename the document YourName_BioChIP_Application.doc
    • Attach an unofficial transcript (as a PDF) from your current university as well as any colleges or universities you have attended in the past.
      Name these files: YourName_YourSchool_Transcript.pdf.
    • Current resume in PDF format.
      Name this file: YourName_Resume.pdf
  2. Two letters of recommendation submitted via email directly by recommender (see below).

If you are selected to participate in BioChIP you will be asked to submit a hard-copy official transcript before beginning the program.

Instructions for Letters of Recommendation:

Request letters of recommendation from two professionals who have first-hand knowledge of your scientific knowledge and/or abilities. These recommenders should email their letter of recommendation directly from their official university or corporate email address. Their letter should be attached to this email as a “.pdf” file. Instruct your recommender to use this subject line: “Recommendation for [YOUR NAME]”

Selection Process:

Applicants will be selected based on their commitment and enthusiasm toward research, academic strengths, communication skills, and ability to work in a team. Significant consideration will be given to applicants from underrepresented ethnic and financial backgrounds. BioChIP participants will be selected by April 1, 2012.
